Global view
Compared to the same period in 2015, the salaried employment has once again increased during the third quarter of 2016, as shown by the statistics of the National Social Security Office. Both the number of jobs (+ 1.2%) and the work volume (+1.4% in full-time equivalents) have increased. The global view is that of a gradually improving labour market. The favourable tendency on the labour market is first of all boosted by the commercial services sector. The regression of employment in ‘Industry and Construction’ has less come to a standstill and even a slight growth can be observed. The employment in the non-commercial services shows a moderate increase.
